Babies are numbed beforehand. They cry for a few seconds max and then fall back asleep. I was there for the entire procedure. It's worse to get circ'd as an adult. [/quote]

I saw them done when I was on my pediatrics rotation in med school.  They gave the babies sugar water to suck on while they did it.  Most of the babies didn’t cry at all.  [/quote]

I've attended many Brit Milahs (bris ceremony) and none of the babies cry much if any. I've also literally never heard of anyone having an issue either immediate or long term from the procedure. [/quote]
