What are you talking about? I don't drive and I'm outraged at the distance of the metro station from the terminal. So sick of metro riders getting punished instead of rewarded.[/quote]

It's not far at all - its barely further than National Airport.

And it is much closer than the trek to the train is at a bunch of international airports that I've used - Heathrow in particular is a really long trek to all 3 of the train services there but Frankfurt is also a good trek as is DeGaulle.  It is also closer than O'hare and Atlanta and Newark.

The problem with Dulles is purely aesthetic in that the Metrorail station is separated from the terminal by an ugly surface parking lot - doesn't matter that there is an underground walkway with people movers - it looks far so people think it is.

In reality it takes about 4 minutes to get between the station and the terminal which is pretty good by any measure.

But I'm betting you've not actually used it yet and are just mad from looking at the photos.[/quote]
