My partner, who is half-Asian, was addressed in Spanish by a white woman in Turtle Park (NW) who assumed she was a Hispanic nanny.  These things definitely happen in some neighborhoods. [/quote]

I’m half Asian and Hispanic/Latino/a people speak Spanish to me all the time. And then seen mildly annoyed when I don’t answer them in Spanish. So I so don’t know what to say about that. [/quote]
