While the upfront cost is high the long-term cost is much lower than that of grass and Bermuda fields. The cost to maintain grass fields is ridiculous but turf costs very little throughout the year. There are also fewer injuries on turf which is helpful to the student athletes. The county doesn't just want turf becuase it "looks nice". Give them a little more credit than that. [/quote]
