See this is the problem.  An animal relies for its survival on you, so of course it is going to respond to you in that way.  It is not being "kind."  This is the emotional immaturity that we are talking about.  Hiding behind the "love" provided by animals with instincts, instead of doing the difficult work of relationships with humans. [/quote]
