exactly, and not even worth mentioning as a comparison to a grown man who should know better (Willard Romney) putting his own dog on the frickin' roof of the car for a long trip (and now his wife, who wants us to believe she's more "normal" than Willard, agrees that the dog loved it?)... [/quote]Was appalled when I first heard this and then thought maybe I should keep an open mind - maybe it did work out okay for the dog (even though I would never have done that - my dogs stay home with a housesitter when we leave town because it protects the house from being burglarized).  But I gotta say this - when my dogs see us packing for a trip, they will do [i]anything[/i] to get in that car and avoid being left behind.  Ann Romney saying that the dog got excited when it saw the carrier - how does she know that the dog just didn't want them to leave? That's what my dogs would be thinking.  The more they try to explain this the worse it gets.[/quote]
