At the income levels OP mentioned the sensible thing is to cash flow it. People might moan, but it's some sort of humble brag. They'll also brag about any discount, even if they know it's a drop in the bucket, and something everyone gets. It's just not possible to understand anyone else's finances from what they say casually.[/quote]
