NYC is one of the friendliest places I’ve lived. Maybe I just lived in unusually friendly neighborhoods. [/quote] NYC is definitely friendlier. I have lived in NY, LA, London and DC. DC is the WORST place in the entire world for uptight, passive-aggressive, non-hello people. Last week I was walking my dog down an otherwise empty street - a large man was watering his plants with his back to me, as I passed he turned and stared. I said "good morning". He continued to stare, in silence, so I said "GOOD MORNING" and nodded, in case he was deaf / wearing ear buds. He turned away. What a f88ker. I give up.[/quote]
