Ever get takeout or eat at Ben's Chili Bowl?  Dinner time! Does it get scrubbed from the list?  And the victim is young, physically fit certainly but no match for DC teen criminals.  Honestly, how did teenage guys not recognize him?  I'm not a huge football fan yet when I see these guys going about normal person stuff even I get the know them from somewhere...

Unconfirmed reports say he was NOT in a flashy car. But I'm guessing it was at least a somewhat nice new vehicle, and you can tell when a young man has money from his fashion, designer sneakers, and likely wears a nice watch. I doubt the kids knew he was the new starting running back of the Commanders.[/quote]

It was a Dodge Charger, which is flashy in a specific kind of way that might be appealing to a teenager looking to carjack someone. [b]Lots of people in that neighborhood drive Subarus and Toyotas that probably cost more than his car, [/b]but those cars are less likely to be targeted by carjackers.

This is in no way blaming Robinson for being attacked -- no one deserves to be robbed or shot, I don't care how flashy your car is. He had every right to be drive what he wanted and the people I hope the people who attacked him and the woman who was also shot get brought to justice.

But as someone who lives in the neighborhood, this is something we have discussed due to the uptick in carjackings. Subaru and Toyota don’t offer even a single vehicle that costs as much as a Charger Hellcat Widebody. Even a fully-optioned Land Cruiser, the MOST expensive vehicle Toyota sells, is still more than $30k less than that Charger. [/quote]
I am not sure why this is relevant unless you feel that the victim deserved it due the type of car they drive. But beyond that, it just makes zero sense because every type of car in DC is potentially subject to carjacking. Yes, even your Subaru and perhaps especially your Camry which I think is the most commonly carjacked vehicle in the city.
