You’ve missed that both admins and their public health officials have on more than one occasion been reckless with the public’s interests.

Both have minimized the seriousness of infection.

Both have relaxed PH guidance when vaccines/therapeutics helped, canceling much of the benefits. Walensky: “you can take off your mask!” What a fool! Ditto with *reducing* quarantine times immediately before the biggest wave of all. Whatever is driving these decisions is not an interest in public health.

Both have told the public things that they haven’t had to risk. Think of Fauci’s double-course of paxlovi. His insistence on higher protection for himself than he’s recommended. That both Jha and Walensky have their kids in a Newton, MA school with $M+ ventilation retrofit, while they tell the vulnerable that all is well.

There’s a bipartisan consensus by D+R leaders (and their loyal supporters) to minimize the problem. It’s only going to make the country’s (and humanity’s) problems worse.

You're outside the scientific consensus about covid and this not a D+R issue. Most countries outside China are moving on from covid, just like the US, as the disease is no longer the threat it was when it came out. Deal with it[/quote]
