18 and 19 year old kids can't a mortgage. And auto and credit card loans are vetted. Literally anyone, no matter if they're jobless, low IQ, functionally illiterate and literally illiterate, and even legally retarded can get upwards of $30,000 in federal student loans with zero vetting. [b]And if you've looked at the data on the capacity of an average American 12th grader in 2022, they are reading, writing, and doing math and science at more like a primary school level[/b]. It is predatory, full stop. More than half of the low and middle income with undergraduate student loans should have never been allowed to take them out, whether they were at a for profit scam school, private scam school, community college, or whatever other open admit degree mill admitted them to prey on them. Higher ed institutions have been preying on the most vulnerable and most desperate kids in the nation for decades. Half of these students have loans and flunked out with no degree because they never had the capacity to do college-level work in the first place.[/quote]
