Yep those darn sweet potatoes! Chickpeas! Fava beans! Oranges! Carrots! Barley! Lentils! Farro! I may even have ice cream a few times this week to help cool me down after dinner. Soooo disordered!  :D  :D  :D [/quote]

Maybe not disordered, but wow, you sure worked hard to know a lot! Yes, beans, legumes, and fancy grains have carbs! Oh you are so sophisticated! Brava! Surely people looking to limit carbs are referring to fava beans (haven't seen those fresh in two decades), barley, and farro, not fries, bread, beer, and eggo waffles.[/quote]

I don't think you know what a carb is. Maybe you're talking about processed food? They are not similes.

Carbs are what encompass the diet of the healthiest populations on the planet, by and large. If you can afford it, go to Italy and off the beaten path. Fresh raw fava beans are delicious. Maybe even have it on some fresh bread with olive oil.  :)
