Oddly, the only people who ever complain about this are people who have been nailed. Stop breaking the law and driving past school buses with their red lights flashing. Then you won't have any problems. And be glad it was the camera that caught you and not a cop, because then the fine is $600 and 3 points.
People complain because the camera company tickets people who don’t violate the law. They hope people will pay instead of fighting it so the company can make more money. I’ve seen 5-6 instances where people were ticketed when they were five lanes away from the school bus going the opposite direction on a divided highway. The law doesn’t require a driver to stop if they are on the other side of the median. The cameras also ticket people who pass parked buses that don’t have flashing lights. That’s also not illegal. There are no points assessed by cameras because they can’t prove who was driving. It’s purely a revenue generation program.
