MCPS has become a black box. No one knows what is going on there. Focus is on politics and PR not education anymore
Some think that they will shutdown VA.
More baseless rumors promoted by s**t-stirrers.
Mcps has been clear it iit is staying and there clearly is a demand. If people want it shut down they need to either address each issue as to why a family choose virtual or provide another alternative. As long as mcps has a do nothing approach to Covid and Covid remains bad, we will not return in person.
Your post sounds like you are an insider at MCPS. Could you please let us know when will MCPS hold parent orientation for virtual?
When it’s announced, happy to. Would you like me to make up a date for you so you stop asking? I am not an insider. I attend the meetings, read the emails, etc. it will probably be a week before school starts. There are previous videos and newsletters on the school website. There are a few Facebook and other groups you can join once your kids are accepted and a pto.
How do we know if the kids are accepted or not? and When? As I read your post, there are more questions and MCPS is not transparent at all.
You will get notified. Pick up the phone and call them. Or, go into the office and ask.
very apparent that this is PR. we all know that you get paid big tax payer dollars to post this on dcum. No one picks up phone and why do you want someone to go to office? Why can't they be proactive and provide information? Why can't they keep the process transparent? What is there to hide?
Do us all a favor and look for another school situation for your kids. This clearly is not the right one for you. How would I know? They are doing things differently than last year. Call them or go in. They always have someone at the front desk during business so I know you did not try.
So they are now focused on pushing out the highly abled students and competent teachers so that they can achieve equity goals across students and staff? Are you an insider who know it all?
What are you talking about?
