Has it occured to you that those who had abortions for less noble reasons are less likely to share that info? People who abort for health reasons probably wanted the child and want to grieve and so share their stories. Not so with those who abort for reasons they think others may consider vain or socially unacceptable.[/quote]

Even aborting because of health reasons can be considered socially unacceptable. "You only want a perfect baby!"

My question is always "Why would you want to force someone to bring a child into this world knowing that that child is unwanted, will be a financial/emotional strain, and/or have issues the parents are unprepared to deal with?

The answer? Always the same. "You shouldn't have had sex then." Because children are the punishment for sex. Such a heartwarming "pro-life" perspective, and yet it's always the bottom line.[/quote]

+1. Misery loves company, and there is no one more miserable than the matriarch of a large family (except, maybe, her eldest daughter). If she had to suffer for her faith, then everyone else should suffer for it too. [/quote]
