This sort of thing happens commonly. I was biking in flip flops… pretty dumb in hindsight but it was a quick trip at the beach.  Completely flat terrain, seemed like a good idea at the time.  My family stopped ahead of me to look at something I pulled up alongside to a complete stop leaned right, like I’ve done thousands of times, and my flip flop strap got caught in the toe cage… I  was already in the lean right position, gravity ensued and I toppled over onto my side.

I ride a large frame bike because I have long legs, I leaned right to put down and my flip flop strap got caught in my toe cage. I busted my azzz much like Biden in this pic. My DH had to lift the bike off of me. Because I was stuck under it and my 9 year old helped pull me up.

It happens! The guy looks greaf. He should probably get rid of the toe cages. I got rid of my flip flops.
