I hope you review his book on Amazon when it comes out 6/16. Since it appears that he's including that nasty and untrue accusation in his book it's clear that 1) he thinks it was ok to accuse parents of being privileged and responsible for the learning gap (there was already a huge one pre-covid) for keeping their own kids IN ACPS but it was fine that he had pulled his kid out for a partially open private school at 17K a year and 2) that he would get the last word on this. Don't let him. He wrote this book during the worst of the pandemic and his refusal to open schools to even the most vulnerable. He had zero concern about the learning gap because he'd already come up with his narrative. Parents were responsible for the gap. Not him. And he's sticking with it. The school board was put on notice in the fall of 2020 that he was spending his time writing the book. The last school board and the current school board are also to blame.
So he's a hypocrite. How does this guy keep his job??
Uh, because we as parents vote in members of the school board who fall in line behind him and are afraid to hold him accountable. Yet we rail on and on every year about how he manages to keep his job despite his hypocrisy.
Parents also allow PTAC. Do a search of PTAC on this forum. You'll find multiple stories about the woman on the PTAC board who was banned from her kids school for celebrating her kid beating up another child and routinely harasses neighbors and parents. That is who represents you and signs glowing op-eds about Hutchings and ACPS.
