According to Snopes. they are a tax exempt non profit as a "social welfare" organization.  :twisted:

I wonder if the President can cancel their tax-exempt status by executive order?    If Wayne LaPierre can spend $55k on one shopping trip for suits and bill it to the NRA, I'd suggest they are making a profit.  He also lives like he's earning more than a million dollars per year.
