Can you explain what the meal question was? Didn't everyone get free lunch because of COVID?
In a nutshell: Every single person who is under the age of 18 living within Fairfax County is ELIGIBLE for free breakfast and lunch this year. (It does not even matter if they are in public school, homeschooled or in private school - there’s actually a system set up for private/homeschooled kids). Everyone is eligible for free meals due to the Covid Waiver. Doesn’t matter if your dad is a billionaire or if you are homeless. Every child living in Fairfax County *is* ELiGIBLE for free meals for the 2021-22 school year. Period. The two questions asked by the TJ Admissions office were: Are you eligible for free or reduce priced meals? Are you currently receiving free or reduced price meals? Do you see the problem here?
