And women still do not have maternity leave like they do in a place like Swaziland
And women in America fairly recently were even sterilized against their will

What is your point?  Yes I know that our culture still does not treat women fairly.  I'd still rather live here than almost anywhere else in the world.  I'd still rather not live in Swaziland, or wear a burqa, thanks.  There are bad people in the world and bad people in the US, no doubt about it.  I'll still take my chances here.

Maternity leave?  Seriously?  We have a culture that is still DEBATING women's reproductive rights.  People don't want to pay for "sex" remember?  Why would they pay for maternity leave, that's just the result of sex.  More liberal coddling.  [/quote]
