Occasionally we've had a saint of a teacher where we can communicate openly about these things and I feel confident that I have a good understanding of what's happening in the classroom... but other years we're stuck with someone who fails to communicate, or clearly isn't telling us the whole story,  or is otherwise standoffish. And since the school doesn't allow parents to observe the classroom we're left in the dark about all of those things.[/quote]
