How is that professional and respectful treatment of FCPS parents? FCPS is in charge of the timeline, and they could have selected any dates that work for them. Toying with parents after the fact (to avoid answering their questions?) is disrespectful and maybe it is time that we (parents) demand change.[/quote]

You say that, but many parents will be exactly the opposite of respectful and professional in this matter.
“A week to calm down”? We are talking about adults. It seems that FCPS finds themselves yet again in artificial need to play a role of an only adult in the room. How about demanding mutual respect? I don’t know the current protocol, but FCPS should have straightforward repercussions for any parent mistreating FCPS personnel. Likewise, attempts to implement infantile practices such as “calming down period for the general FCPC parent population” should be grounds for employment termination. Fair enough?
