He's right.  there's also no evidence for the existence of God, except for what people imagine or are taught to believe.

If believing in God and/or following a religion brings you peace and happiness - fine.  But if not, you don't have to believe just because most people you know do or because you were taught to.[/quote]

I agree and I do not believe in God at all but he did, although his God is very relevant to the OP's question because his God does not care.  I believe the BF said God cares about the big picture but not about the little details, like babies born with cancer or other unimaginable tragedies.  I found his thought process pretty interesting as I attempted to understand his mind and beliefs, although the relationship was pretty much doomed from the beginning.[/quote]
