Hard to see how commuting to NW DC would be easier from Great Falls than from Vienna.

I'd only live in Great Falls if working from home or working in Herndon, Reston or Tysons (and if working in Tysons would still prefer Vienna or Falls Church to Great Falls).  The infrastructure hasn't kept up with the population growth in the surrounding areas. [/quote]

No you can not.  Once you are IN the metro station, yes you can probably get to Metro Center in 30 minutes.  But you are not calculating the trip to the metro station, which can easily be another 20 minutes of driving/walking/bus riding.  [/quote]

You must not lock your bike up or ever have to wait for a train.  The ride itself is 30 min.    [/quote]
