But I totally agree with the larger premise that Disney should give this one a pass and also with the premise that most companies are pretty hypocritical about being sensitive only when it suits their wallets.  Disney really does do somewhat better than most, though, and seems to consistently try over recent years, at least, to be welcoming to all groups and to make course corrections when they are called out.  The disability community is generally pro-Disney because the parks really do make life easier for parents of disabled children.  I think it’s fair for Disney to point out that they were already working with members of the community to get input on the movie.  Again. I think the decision should be to skip this remake and if Peter’s view is that there is no way to make this in a respectful manner due to the history, I wouldn’t take issue with that.  [/quote]
