David Simon on the abuse by federal prosecutors of mortgage fraud convictions. They really like to go after black politicians with these charges: http://davidsimon.com/kwame-brown-another-federal-case-another-head-shot/
Mosby broke the law. She lied on documents to get her mortgage. End of. How hard is this for people to accept? She *broke* the law. Despite being an elected official and prosecuting DA. She *broke* the law.
Glad to see our resident right wingers are back to their usual position that indictment=conviction. Must have been very confusing to be arguing that an indictment is only an allegation that has to be proven at trial when it was right wingers being charged.
What is this? A competition to outdo each other in paranoid support of Mosby and alleging right wingers everywhere? There is no federal right wing conspiracy against Mosby. Hint: the DOJ is firmly under the thumbs of a Democratic administration. The Feds would not indict Mosby if they didn't believe she broke the law. And the documents make clear she lied about her intentions when she got her mortgage. I'm not sure why this is so difficult to accept, unless you do genuinely agree to one standards for people like Mosby and another standard for the hoi polloi?
