Wegovy and Ozempic are the same. Wegovy is authorized for higher doses than Ozempic. If your insurance plan doesn’t cover it, then it doesn’t cover it. You might be able to try and get Ozempic with prior authorization if your plan overs Trulicity. Wegovy is specifically classified as a weight loss medication. Some insurance plans do not cover weight loss medication.[/quote]
