I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Good Counsel. We have a rising 9th grade boy that has toured or is applying to all of these mentioned schools. As far as facilities, we like in order (not by our choice order)

Prep (not applying)
SJC (top 3 choice)
Good Counsel 
Landon 
Bullis
Sidwell (top 3 choice)
Potomac (not applying) 
St Albans (not applying) 
Maret (top 3 choice even though worst facilities although new athletic fields coming 2023 I think)

DS is a top ranked athlete that will likely play D1. We figure he can get fancy facilities in college. [/quote]

Not weird at all. These schools consistently send kids to D1 in sports and they have strong academics. Why not have best of both worlds.[/quote]
