Exactly!  You won’t “get it over with” because getting omicron doesn’t mean you won’t get future variants, but all of the mingling just enables it to mutate more.  Not to mention, there has been some indications by credible research that Covid remains in your body.  We don’t know what the long term implications of that are — whether that means health issues down the road, even if you just get a mild case now.

I’m not saying we should never go out.  But there is a surge right now.  The best course of action is to reduce gatherings during surges.  [/quote]
