Their main role is to provide the sacraments to the faithful and pass down (and correctly interpret) the faith of the apostles. [/quote] That is their goal but due to man being imperfect and their interpretations being imperfect it's inane to listen to every doctrine with infallibility. You can listen to the holy spirit through you soul and that gives you all the answers you need, "church"/"doctrine"/"preaching" is just a fallible social construct to gather and worship together, with imperfect teachings sew into the fabric.[/quote]
