Lotte Wubben Moy played for Arsenal as a 16 year old. She left Arsenal to go to UNC and played for 3 years. She returned to Arsenal and is a regular in England’s national team now as a 22 year old.

Alesia Russo played for Chelsea as a 16 year old. She then left to go to UNC and played for 3 years. She returned to Manchester United and has played a couple times for England’s national team now as a 22 year old.

Ruby Grant played for Arsenal as a 16 year old. She then left Arsenal to go to UNC and just finished her freshman year.

Emily Murphy played for Chelsea as a 17 year old. She then left to go to UNC and just finished her freshman year.

Why do these girls, who play for some of England’s best pro clubs, as well as England’s national youth team, leave England to come play college soccer in the US?
