If you’re basing this on the recent WBJ rankings, they just repurposed the Niche rankings by applying slightly different weights, yet somehow ended up with the same rankings.  Both sets of rankings are complete and utter nonsense.  Other than perhaps BIM which should suffer for lack of continuity, there is very little that distinguishes the top 10 schools from each other in overall quality of education. Same for the second 10.  They have different styles and different strengths and weaknesses, but rank ordering them is a fool’s errand. [/quote]

PP here. I’d say *in general* the top 10 are more “better” than the second 10.  But the overall differences are narrow, and not the gulf many on here seem to think exists between them.  And there are exceptions. I would much sooner send my DC to Maret or WIS or FHS or SSSAS or SAES, than say, BIM or Episcopal.  I don’t even know what Pinnacle Academy is, so can’t comment on that one.  Putting schools into bands or tiers is problematic too, but not nearly as reductive as rank ordering them.[/quote]
