TSJ (or really the investment group that owns it) has a lot of extra money lying around and the one guy likes to buy sports franchises. That’s what this is. This does not equate to success on the field. However, TSJ youth girls team (aka FCV) could benefit for a while from this by talking up “pathway to pros”. Not sure what league they’ll play in, but that’s besides the point. Many parents and kids will dumbly follow this pipe dream to make $25K a year playing soccer in a two-bit minor league.
My lord. Please stop this “pathway to the pros” lie. No one from FCV is skipping college and signing a 30,000 pro contract. Parents will pay for anything
I'll take that bet! Funny you think Pro pay is as high as 30K!! Not unless you are offensive player of the year in college. I can promise you WS will be full of FCV kids (even those currently in college will join U23s or reserves because BP calls them) within 3 months of the sale. Why wouldn't the fav's from prior FCV teams take the freebie opportunity to put WS on their resume in some form. It's a plus for FCV, BP and the player. Think Man, think!
