What specifically has gotten worse? No GOP lies/empty talking points.
That masking my kid is basically permanent despite Europeans clearly demonstrating that it's unnecessary, for starters. I personally am impacted by the fact that there is no one to hire due to the endless cash flowing from covid relief. I’m concerned this idiotic and endless spending is not just going to make a mess of the labor market (already done) but also create really scary levels of inflation beyond what we are seeing now. Unfortunately, the irresponsible extreme democrats are at the tiller, and putting a moderate Republican in charge of VA would send a very important message and be good for VA.
Did you vote Biden for president last year? Asking because your explanation doesn't make much sense unless you're Republican-leaning already. Masking won't be permanent - our cases just need to come down, as Europe's have (thank our anti-vax Republican party for why our case rates are still too high!). Tight labor markets are what happens when the economy picks up steam and unemployment is low. Inflation is a valid concern, sure, but most of it is due to supply-chain problems beyond politicians' control. And Youngkin ain't a moderate. It's Trump's party now, and Youngkin would face significant pressure to follow the national party by banning vaccine mandates, outlawing abortion, cutting taxes for rich people, and certifying Virginia's 2024 electoral votes for Trump no matter what Virginia voters say.
Hhhmmm...is the economy actually picking up steam? And can we really write off inflation to supply-chain problems? I don't think your questions garner the answers you expect sitting in your tunnel. The endless money stream to unemployed people who refuse to adapt and who refuse to get off their butts and find jobs is so infuriating. The same with the child stimulus payments or whatever they're called. It is insane that my husband and I are receiving them. C'mon, people, the government is not your Sugar Daddy. I am pretty True Blue yet I find this constant feeding of the entitlement of people in their 20s and 30s really disgusting. Show some initiative for goodness sake. Stop complaining and start working. It is your life, take charge of it.
Yup, people who make posts like this deserve ridicule
How so? I agree with her. We're closer to a recession than an economic burst. We're also subsidizing the lifestyles of a lot of people who have found that not working over the past 1.5 years is much more enjoyable than working. You must have seen the articles in WSJ, NYT and WAPO. I see it every day at work myself. That coupled with the number of people who prefer to WFH rather than in the office because WFH is so much easier for them. Well, golly, the reason it is so much easier is because you aren't doing squat.
I have not please post the links of all evidence showing people are not applying and accepting work due to things like "laziness" and not because they feel the work is worth the compensation or the work doesn't offer things they need to live, like health care they can also afford
Hhhmmmm...seems like you're proving her point. (DP)
Lmaooooooo burden of proof = laziness Get th fck out of here this site is worse than Twitter lmaoooo
DP. Childcare is also an issue. Lots of childcare providers closed during the pandemic and never reopened. Many of them were more affordable options like home daycares. The type that might be used by lower income women. Can't go work if you have no affordable options for childcare.
Didn't you read the above posts? It's all laziness. There are literally no other factors possible. The chorus of DCUM have spoken
