You are my people.  My parents were born and raised in Connecticut.  Transplants here.  Prep schools and University in New England.  My mom and her best friend neighbor would pick me up when I faked sick in elementary school and take me on their Garfinckel’s shopping trips.I can still picture that store.  Also, the old Lord&Taylor.

I agree DC prep is nothing like New England Prep.  The most dressed down my dad got was his worn, old Lacoste polos. [/quote]
