Wow... Look at that. OP is raising a topic we have never discussed before!!! Genius OP!
Wow, a DCUM thread that rehashes an old topic. Your endless capacity for wonder is an inspiration to us all.
There's been more than usual right-wing grievance posts lately trying to stir up anger directed at MCPS. Guessing the astroturfers are out in force before the November elections.
You may want to recalibrate: the rejection of empirically-based guidance from public health institutions like the CDC is the MAGA position. So much for right-wing grievance.
Nah, the MAGA positions are: 1. rejection of the possibility that actually this is a complicated issue, not a simple one 2. ignorance of past efforts
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying you should be able to find a single left-of-center source advocating sending kids (particularly high school kids) to school early rather than later. Other things that are complicated and have failed in the past: a humane health-care system; lead abatement in low-income housing. You can probably think of dozens more. Conservatives and reactionaries can always think of reasons not to do the right thing even in the face of overwhelming evidence it's the right thing to do, that's why they're called "conservatives."
