I am saying that it is absurd to say that anyone who is in Afghanistan will die within a week is absurd. That country is currently in turmoil, and there is a great deal of violence and oppression, certainly. But to single out that entire COUNTRY as being terrible while holding up the U.S. as some shining city on a hill is both unhelpful, irrelevant to this argument, and extremely reductionist and narrow minded.[/quote]
