I’m with the pp who suggested Sherborn.you could get a little bit of land. If I’m not mistaken each lot has to be in several acres. You’d still get a community through the excellent public schools.  Not sure about now but it used to have a very New England  old money vibe.[/quote]

Sherborn is definitely horsey and old-moneyish yet also somehow ... affordable?

Natick is a weird pocket of quasi-affordability amid very expensive towns. I don't know why. Maybe the school system isn't as prestigious as those in other towns. IDK. Lots of people who can't afford Wellesley and really, who can? move there.[/quote]

Natick is a nice town, very good schools. It's more densley populated than neighboring towns, with lots and lots of commercial development (Rte 9, Natick Mall....) and condos, apts, etc.  As you go south, toward Sherborn, it gets noticeably more semi-rural and more expensive.

I live in Wayland and would be happy to live in Natick, for a bit more diversity and livelihood. Wayland is pretty sleepy with few amenities within the town. [/quote]
