So I do not know about that. The stars/big names want to be paid the same as the men. This means no salary certainly not a very high base salary. They want a high game check and part of the purse. This will work out great for the stars but not so much for the rest of the team and players not in the pool are screwed. 
The pay out for the wwc was 30 million mwc paid out 400 million. You also have to factor the money in the men side vs women side internationally. The USMNT can play a friendly against England and make a boatload of money. The women can not do that. They do not draw like England’s national team.[/quote]

In other sports unionization leveled the pay between top stars and lower level players.

If there’s money going to women’s soccer salaries and only the stars are vacuuming it up, expect a unionization push.
