It turns out that WMATA does in fact have one self cleaning toilet that does not work. It is located at the Huntington metro station (VA, not DC). Apparently WMATA has spent a boatload repairing the toilet and it has never functioned. I would call this a WMATA issue more than a technology issue. We should have these things all over DC.
