[quote=Anonymous]OP, I get you, but: men are going to check out women. They are visual creatures and it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Heck, I look at other women at the pool/beach who are beautiful who have nice bodies. It certainly doesn't mean I want them or anything. I have never felt comfortable in a bikini. I wore them as a young girl/teen, but only because my mother bought them for me and she was a bikini queen. I am not religious or from a culture that frowns on showing your body, I just don't feel comfortable in them. I feel just better covered up. We are members of a community pool also and spend a lot of time there now (FINALLY!! after COVID restrictions were lifted). We know a lot of parents there and some of the moms wear bikinis and have great bodies. I'm sure my DH check them out, I don't care, it means nothing. I personally wear a tankini bathing top with Capri swim leggings and also a long sleeve rash guard over top. My little boys and DH also wear long sleeve rash guards for sun protection (we are very fair skinned and skin cancer runs in the family on my side). I also like wearing the leggings and rash guard because I feel better in them running around after my kids and not having to pick wedgies out of my butt cheeks or worry about nip-slips, etc. I also like that what I wear to the pool, I can leave for the pool in them and stop by a store on the way back if need be, without changing clothes. If it get's later and there is more shade, I will sometimes take my rash guard off. I also absolute HATE one piece bathing suits. It is an absolute nightmare to try to peel a wet one down to use the restroom, especially if it is one of those one piece suits that have the "tummy control" thing. OMG, never again will I buy or wear one of those evil things. That being said, I fully support bikini wearers! Anyone should wear what they are comfortable in. These are the capri leggings that I have, and I love them so much, they are so comfortable and they dry quickly. They sit a bit higher on the waist than shown in the pic though: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LFBMFZF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My tankini tops and rash guards I have are mostly from LL Bean or Amazon.
