We get a summer babysitter and miss one week of swim and diving team for a camp. This year it’s soccer. Our swim team ends the 3rd week of July so that leaves one more July week for a different camp. When my kid is old enough for sleepaway camp, they will do second session of camp and miss swim championships, but they’re ok with that.[/quote]

Thanks... So if swim team is only one hour mid day and both parents work, you get a babysitter to drive to swim practice and then deliver to camp late?  Or just a full season babysitter?  I was expecting team practice to be from 7-8 or 8-9am, not in the middle of the day.[/quote]

I've never seen a practice in the middle of the day.

Our pool the youngest kids swim first.

10 and under -- 8:00 to 8:50
11 - 13 -- 8:50 to 9:40
14 and up 9:40 - 10:30 (doesn't need camp
Preteam (which a working parent could just skip) 10:30 - 11:00

At 11:00 the pool opens to the general public.

Afternoon, it's

10 and under: 4:30 -- 5:20
11 - 13 5:20 - 6:10
14 and up 6:10 - 7:00

So, 10 and under, you can go and then drop at a camp that starts at 9:00
11 - 13, do a full day of camp and then bike to practice or something

Our practices are in the evening while school is in session and then they move to mornings after school lets out for the summer. Do you have a.m. and p.m. practices on the same day?[/quote]
