I think my mother is drinking the same kool aid that yours is drinking. Same problem.

The PP is right that once your DC hits middle school, she will stop and become more uninterested. I have a middle school kid and an elementary school kid.

My mother gets upset when I donate the clothes after they have been outgrown too. I try to explain that children grow and she somehow finds this a personal affront.
