Hockey and lacrosse are nationally ranked. Hockey was ranked #1 in the country in 2020 when the pandemic put an end to the season. The hockey team plays in and sells out Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving weekend each year. Lacrosse was ranked #2 when the pandemic stopped the 2020 season. Wrestling is also a national power and has had NCAA national champions, one of whom is a two-time world champion and just made the Olympic team. Men's basketball is the most recent Ivy program to make the Sweet 16, though that was 10 years ago now. Men and women rowers have made the US Olympic teams. And college hockey is an absolute blast in person. Tickets are reasonably priced and accessible. Lots of games. Guaranteed fun. I went to a Cornell game at St. Lawrence’s Appleton arena (which is an old-fashioned gem). One of my favorite college sports experiences ever. [/quote]

I had season tickets for hockey my senior year.  For the record, I am not a sporty person at all.  Every game was great, even if we lost :).

DH and I attended the Cornell game at Harvard a couple of years ago when we lived in Boston briefly.   There was very little school spirit in evidence.  Don't know if that's just the way it is at Harvard for hockey, or its a reflection of the times, but I'll admit I was pretty disappointed.  [/quote]

I could never get season tickets (not dedicated enough to camp out for tickets), but the games I did attend were so much fun.

Ah, memories!!! Thanks for posting!  My seats were to the left of the camera and down a bit.  Right in the heart of it :).  I did sleep out for those tickets!  One of my housemates had a friend who worked at the Sun, so we got an early heads up the night before the ticket sale would start.  Slept in the rain.  Well worth it :).  [/quote]
