Thanks for this.   My DS has a "likely letter" to go to Columbia for an athletic recruitment. (with final decision on April 6).    He wants so much to live in NYC but I suspect the academic stress will be so high that he won't get to enjoy the city anyway.    My consolation is that if the stress does get too high that it should be relatively easy to transfer out of Columbia to another school.[/quote]
