Because one of the leagues has to be the A team. There are MLS clubs who's B teams play in ECNL and that expectation would have to continue with SYC or they would lose their slot.

My thinking is that on the boys side SYC's top team would play MLS and McLean's ECNL.  On the girls side McLean would play ECNL and SYC in CCL.[/quote]

McLean is no stranger to this, they had a deal with Arlington a few years ago.  That didn't last at all.  The only way this works is if they both make some concessions and partner up similar to Metro United or VDA and then feed into that.  That would put some meat on the bones.[/quote]
