UVA is the same reason why you don't see as many NOVA students applying to Duke, Emory, Vanderbilt, etc. Again, why would you go to any of those schools if money is at all of an issue? You can quibble all you want over which of these is "better," but there's no denying that in academic circles they're all considered to be in the same tier.
