I would stop and breathe through ctx, but the nurse and I were joking and laughing between ctx all the way to 10cm.  The only reason she knew I was ready to push was that I asked to use the bathroom for a bowel movement.  My recovery was much quicker, I bonded with my baby much faster, and the pressure and labor was actually less uncomfortable/painful.
