What a string of nutballs. Those of us seeing that there are serious risks with in-person school, especially in the context of parents lobbying for more than 11 kids/class, are not dead weight. We're actively supporting life, learning, science-based policy decisions. It's pretty funny to see you shout both at the cautious parents "Get with the program, deadweights! Science!" and at the decision-maker "We hate your program! Don't be so uptight with the science when our kids miss each other!"
IT HAS BEEN A FULL YEAR. Kids need to get back in school. We all need to reset our risk perception.
OK, this I can communicate with! This is honest. I still disagree that all kids need to get back in school, but that's ok, because your kids sound like they need it more than mine and there isn't room/staff to educate all of them in-person together safely. I'm not reseting my own risk perception, because the benefit to my family isn't so great compared to the risk to my family and to my community. I can wait.
Fine. Friendship has a nice online k-12 charter program for you. The rest of us will face reality.
