Every parent can decide whether spanking is included in the disciplinary tools they use. BTW, I do believe that some "time-out" kids are ruined. I'd be willing to bet that most of the gripes written/talked about on the General Parenting/Older Kids forum are from parents who failed at disciplining their children. In fact, many mothers say they would never spank their children while at the same time they inflict severe psychological/emotional abuse. I'd rather a 5 second spanking over the mental screwing some of the posters here have shared about their own Moms/Dads. [/quote]
